The Middle States Junior Golf Tour is very thankful for the involvement of players, parents, and host facilities. The MSJGT has established rules and guidelines for both its participants and their families. We firmly believe that with privilege comes responsibility.
It is required that all participants adhere to The Middle States Junior Golf Tour Code of Conduct while participating in any MSJGT event: a) Attire: when you arrive at the golf course you are expected not only to act like a golfer, but to look like one as well. Your appearance during the practice round and competition should be in keeping with the following: tank tops, tee-shirts, short shorts, denim shorts, and jeans are not acceptable;
* During play, collared shirts or mock neck shirts must be worn and tucked in at all times. * Girls may wear sleeveless golf shirts. * If a hat, cap or visor is worn, it shall be displayed in the proper manner both on the golf course as well as inside the host facility. * No short-shorts or miniskirts * No MP3 players or IPODs on the course during competition
b) Alcohol, tobacco, and drugs: Use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs, on or off the course, will not be tolerated and will be considered a violation of the Middle States Junior Golf Tour Player’s Code of Conduct. This violation will result in automatic disqualification and/or suspension from future events.

We at Middle States Junior Golf Tour value our respected reputation. We expect all participants to conduct themselves in a mature manner, on and off the course, while participating in any Middle States Junior Golf Tour events. e) Cheating: The Middle States Junior Golf Tour will not tolerate cheating. If there is not a rules official present, it is your responsibility as a player to protect the integrity of the game. Be honest about your score and the score of the player you are marking for. Do not seek advice from parents/spectators (ex: club choice, yardage, etc.) Make sure you confirm scores at the conclusion of each hole. If there is a disagreement, retrace the player’s shots prior to beginning the next hole.
f) MSJGT LOCAL RULES & CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION: All tournaments conducted by the Middle States Junior Golf Tour are conducted under the USGA Rules of Golf and the Middle States Junior Golf Tour Local Rules as listed below. At each tournament there is usually an additional set of rules known as the Local Rules Addendum that take into consideration the circumstances and condition of that particular golf course. All MSJGT tournament players are urged to become familiar with the MSJGT Local Rules and Conditions of the Competition. Please print out a copy and keep it in your golf bag for easy reference.
If disqualification and/or suspension is necessary, the player, his/her parents, and the MSJGT tournament staff will be advised to submit a written account of the circumstances and violation(s) in question to the MSJGT Executive Committee within 24 hours of the notice of disqualification and/or suspension. After review, the possible disqualification and/or length of the suspension will be decided.
The Middle States Junior Golf Tour knows that you, as a player, know that golf is a game of integrity. By agreeing to the Player Code of Conduct, you are indicating your desire to keep the great game of golf a great game, and to abide by and accept this Code of Conduct and the Middle States Junior Golf Tour's enforcement of this Code of Conduct.
