What happens after I register for membership?
 You will receive an email confirming your membership, tournament signed up for and you MSJGT Membership Number.

How soon can I register for tournaments after I have become a member?
 Registration is done on the same form as the MSJGT Membership Package.

What forms of payment does MSJGT accept?
 All registrations are done by mailing in the MSJGT Membership Package and a Personal or Cashiers Check.


What is the refund policy?
 One-Day Events and Multi-day Events: No deposit is required when registering for events; FULL entry fee is processed 14 days prior to the tournament.
  

  • A withdraw prior to 14 days of the event will result in a $15 administration fee. 
  • A withdraw within 7 to 14 days of the event will result in a 50% refund of the tournament fee.
  • A withdraw within 7 days of the event will result in a forfeit of the entire tournament fee. NO EXCEPTIONS!! 

What happens if the weather forces a cancellation?
 MSJGT makes every attempt to hold an event even in inclement weather. However, safety is our biggest priority. In the event of weather, please plan on arriving at the course for your scheduled tee time and we will update you upon arrival.

  • If 9 holes are played in any event, the tournament is considered completed and no refunds will be issued.
  • The tournament will only be cancelled if the host course and MSJGT deems the players’ safety to be in jeopardy or potential damage to the course may occur.
  • A cancelled MSJGT event shall be rescheduled at a time that is mutually acceptable or your fee will be applied for use at a future event.

What is the point allocation for the MSJGT?
 Please see the Tour Awards & Points page under Tournaments.

How will the Player of the Year be determined?
 The Player of the Year will be awarded to the highest point recipient in each age division at the conclusion of the season.

Is there a stroke limit in MSJGT events?
 No, there is no stroke limit in any MSJGT events.

Are pull carts allowed?
 Yes, pull carts are allowed at all events, as long as they are permitted by the host course.

How do I know what tee-box to play from during my practice round?
 Here are our yardage guidelines for each age division:
  Boys 10 & Under: 4500-5200 Yards
  Boys 11-13: 5800-6400 Yards
  Boys 14-15: 6400-6800 Yards
  Boys 16-19: 6800+ Yards

  Girls 13 & Under: 4500-5200 Yards
  Girls 14-19: 5500-6200 Yards

What are the criteria for tournaments to be nationally ranked on Junior Golf Scoreboard?
 In order for scores from our events to be included on Junior Golf Scoreboard for national rankings, each age group must have, at the least, five participants who complete at least 36 holes. Events with stroke limits will not be ranked. Also, to be ranked, all participants must play from a minimum of 4,500 yards and not shorter than the forward most USGA rated tees.
